Companies often struggle to make IoT data available to more systems and departments to identify malfunctioning devices and troubleshoot remotely. Avoid additional costs when sending service technicians to fix devices in the field, the so called “truck rolls”. The Device Inspector is an alternative for IoT solutions which only need occasional status updates of devices in the field. The integration into your cloud is done via standard REST API.
Once your device is connected to IoT Integrator, all transmitted data is stored up to seven days. During this period, your solution can retrieve the history and current state of devices for further usage on demand.
How It Works
Enable your customer support to directly view telemetry data of devices in field: When a customer calls your 1st level support about a potential issue, the agent can immediately read the latest telemetry data (e.g., position, error codes or health status).
The support system issues a call to the Device Inspector, requesting the data of the customers’ device. This allows the agent to fix the issue remotely and to save extra truck roll costs.
