Global IoT Coverage Provider

Coverage in 173 countries and regions

Our Coverage

The country and region coverage of 1NCE is growing steadily and rapidly. 1NCE already offers radio services in 173 countries in Europe (including UK), Asia, North America, South America, Africa and Oceania. Furthermore, 1NCE supports all radio standards such as 2G, 3G, 4G/LTE-M as well as NB-IoT in selected countries and regions.

You can use your 1NCE IoT SIM card without additional costs in all countries and regions within our IoT coverage footprint. An overview of our coverage can be seen on the map below. All details about the available radio standards can be found in the country list below, which can be downloaded.

Information about local coverage

China+ Coverage

On request, the 1NCE IoT Lifetime Flat can also be ordered with China+ IoT coverage. The following different coverage for the region “Asia (China+)” applies: 4G/NB-IoT in Mainland China; 2G/3G/4G in Hong Kong; 4G in Macau; 4G/LTE-M in Taiwan.

Information about local coverage

Brazil+ Coverage

The 1NCE IoT Lifetime Flat license may now include Brazil+ on request. This enables multi-operator connectivity across Brazil, supported by Claro. Key benefits are local data management, billing, and logistics, all fully compliant with Brazilian trading, telecom, and tax regulations.

Shutdown / Sunsets / Phase-Outs

2G/3G Discontinuation

From time to time, individual operators switch off particular mobile technologies (like 2G/3G) to have the frequencies available for future-proof technologies. In the 1NCE Developer Hub you will be informed regularly about upcoming regional network shutdowns in the 1NCE IoT coverage.

What Is Global IoT?

The term "global IoT" describes the network of physical objects, automobiles, household appliances, and other objects that are connected and roam globally. These products and projects are powered with sensors, software, and IoT connectivity, like IoT SIM cards. This makes it possible for these "things" to gather and share data across national borders. Overall, global IoT SIM plan implies going beyond local or regional applications, enabling global monitoring and data interchange.

What are the 4 types of IoT?

If we talk about IoT applications, the 4 types of IoT refer to consumer, commerce, industry and infrastructure. IoT for consumers or CIoT  includes gadgets and apps used by people daily, for instance wearables or smart home. IoT for commerce includes applications across business contexts, such as retail, healthcare, and office settings. IoT for Industry (IIoT) implies use cases within manufacturing, agriculture, and energy. Furthermore, IoT infrastructure unites critical aspects like energy grids, smart cities, and transportation networks.

What is global connectivity in IoT?

Global IoT connectivity and coverage means the ability of IoT devices to connect and communicate with central systems and with one another gat a global scale. This enables data transfer and device monitoring regardless of where the assets are.  Since this is directly related to cellular connectivity, worldwide IoT data plans and SIM contracts are considered by project/product owners.

What is an example of global connectivity?
Let’s discuss a use case within the logistics industry, for instance, the shipping corporation that must constantly track the whereabouts and state of its goods while it travels across countries.  IoT sensors installed in the cargo containers may track location, temperature, and humidity.  They provide data to a central cloud system over cellular networks using a global IoT SIM plan. This enables the business to keep track of each shipment's exact location and make sure all products are in good condition.
