FP Group turns to 1NCE for roaming footprint and a flexible and lasting IoT connectivity solution

Francotyp-Postalia (FP) Group, a specialist in secure mailing and digital communication processes, powers its monitoring and preventative maintenance services that remotely monitor contamination in oil systems with 1NCE FlexSIM cards in 2FF and 3FF form factors to enable 2G, 3G and NB-IoT connectivity.

The 1NCE SIM cards provide roaming coverage, achieve low energy consumption in deployment, offer high in-building signal penetration and to have a long SIM card lifetime.

“We selected 1NCE because of its ability to offer network roaming across the globe coupled with competitive costs,” said Karsten von der Waydbrink, project manager IoT, FP Group. “The SIMs are easy to use with no PIN and 1NCE offers friendly and fast support. 1NCE is a dynamic offering which means we can be confident that new services can be added during the lifetime of the deployment, which will enable us to use the best available connectivity regardless of where our customers need our services.”

FP group reported revenues of more than €200 million in 2017 and has subsidiaries in ten different countries; it is represented by its own distributor network in an additional 40 countries. One part of its business is in oil system maintenance where its solution supports the global leader in oil maintenance, which designs and manufactures oil filtration solutions for removal of particles, water, acidity and oil degradation products from hydraulic oils, lube oils, gear oils, diesel fuels and others.

FP Group already has customers in Denmark, Germany, Austria and Italy and needed high quality, cost effective connectivity across the European Union to support the wider deployment of the service. Currently, they apply several hundred 1NCE SIM cards to their offering.
