1NCE and autosen, the sensor company, have been in a strong partnership in which 1NCE provides connectivity to its new io-key product offering, designed to provide a good value option for transmitting sensor data into the cloud, and thereby making these data available via the internet. The company applies the 1NCE Lifetime Fee to enable the io-key to connect sensors in the simplest way and reduce costs for customers dramatically. An added benefit was 1NCE’s ability to offer narrowband-IoT (NB-IoT) connectivity in addition to cellular networks in order to connect sensors across a shopfloor without issues.
Established in 2011 as a joint venture with one of the world’s leading automation technology manufacturers, autosen has access to more than 40 years of experience in the development and production of pioneering sensor systems. Digital from the start, the company carries more than 100,000 items in stock and is able to ship products on the same day as ordered if the order is received before 2pm.
Recognising that it is currently highly complicated and relatively expensive to monitor sensor data or implement smaller applications, the company wanted to provide its customers with the same convenience and simplicity in connectivity purchasing that they get when buying sensors and automation equipment from autosen. It therefore turned to 1NCE to enable connectivity as simply as it does with sensor technology. Just like the io-key gateway, which uses IO-Link technology, to implement plug and play functionality, enabling simple and rapid commissioning of sensors, 1NCE takes a similar approach to IoT connectivity, multi-bearer technology to its customers.
