13 August 2020: A message from Alexander P. Sator
Cellular connectivity for IoT hasn’t been a commercially attractive solution for businesses in the past. Complex rates, hidden or additional costs (e.g. for roaming) kept many IoT solution builders away from using a technology that should be the first choice when it comes to the question of how to connect devices to the Internet of Things.
Throughout the past 24 months we have set a new standard for IoT by making cellular connectivity easy to access and simple to use. Today we count more than 3,000 customers, adding 150 every month from more than 50 different countries. We have increased our revenues since last year fivefold and up to now we sold up more than five million SIM Cards, yet alone one million cards in the first five months. Our footprint now covers more than 100 countries worldwide and can deliver seamless connectivity via 2G, 3G, 4G, NB-IoT and LTE-M.
We get better with every new customer, no matter if they order one SIM card or thousands. We have put a lot of effort in maintaining and improving the outstanding performance of our customer service and technical support. Close to all (99.9%) of our support requests can be solved within slightly more than a working day.
Having a huge and diverse customer base allows us to learn more about the most urgent customer requirements in order to develop and improve our services to meet customer’s demand. Throughout the last months we have tremendously enhanced the features that are included or can be used in conjunction with the 1NCE IoT Flat Rate.
In order to speed up the integration of devices into cloud environments we added new features like the SIM-as-an-Identity service or a Device SDK. Therefore, we partner with technology leaders such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) who support us in our mission to standardize IoT connectivity. With the 1NCE IoT Connectivity Suite, that is powered by AWS, we offer a bunch of new device and data management services, like the Data Broker, that translates to lighter data protocols automatically and thereby saves data volume and enhances battery lifetime.
We also introduced a blockchain enabled security service in cooperation with ubirch, that can be used in conjunction with the 1NCE SIM card. Last but not least thanks to our cooperation with China Telecom Global we expand our coverage in Asian markets such as China, Hong Kong or Macao.
And to all of you who are still hesitating, I want to shout out to you to try and test us. You won’t regret it!
Sincerely
Alexander P. Sator
